Vassilis Seferidis is Director of Business Development for Samsung Electronics Europe responsible for product planning and business development for the European market.

He has more than 20 years experience in the European Consumer Electronics market mainly in Strategic Business Planning and Product Management roles. Prior to Samsung, he held senior management positions at Toshiba, Philips, British Standards Institute and British Telecom.

Vassilis has been involved with the standardisation and business development of Digital TV in Europe since 1993 and managed key product developments and product launches including the first Digital Terrestrial TV set-top-box in Europe for OnDigital/ITV Digital and Toshiba’s first Integrated Digital TV.

Vassilis holds a BSc and MSc from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, a PhD from Essex University and an MBA from Cass Business School (City University), London.
